1957Company co-founded by Donald Hillson Ryan in Brussels, Belgium
1957First While -You – Wait heel repair bar opens under the name Talon Minuite in Bon Marche department store in Brussels
1960Key duplication and knife sharpening added to the While-You-Wait services
1964Minit begins producing own shoe repair machines and materials in it factory
1965MISTER MINIT adopts as an overall trading name in all countries
1966Montre Service watch repair founded in France
1967MISTER MINIT shops throughout Europe with expansion to Australia and New Zealand
1972MISTER MINIT expands to Japan
1985MINIT Purchases Allied Shoe Repair with over 450 shops throughout UK
1986Donald Hillson Ryan named Commandeur De L’Ordere De Leopold II for his contributes to the economic and cultural enrichment to Belgium
1991Winning together program deepens re-defines service commitment
1994Things Engraved opens November in Chatswood, NSW, Australia
2002November – The first MINIT Shop was franchised to Fred and Anne Koevets and Rhett Cooper-Fowle in NT and WA
2005Ryan – Donald Hillsdon, “MISTER MINIT” September 23, 1925 - May 9, 2005. The co-founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MINIT International, died in his home in London, England
2007MISTER MINIT celebrates 50 years with nearly 4000 shops world wide
2009* Darren Andonovski from Mister Minit Box Hill was awarded Franchisee of the Year 2009 at the MYOB excellence in Franchising Awards.
* MISTER MINIT was named New Zealand’s retail services Best Franchise System of the Year 2009/2010 at the Wespac New Zealand Franchise Awards.
